Carolin Meiners

Carolin Meiners graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover in 2012. Since May 2012 she is employed as a research assistant at the Field Station for Epidemiology of the University for Veterinary Medicine Hannover in Bakum and participates in the residency program of the European College of Porcine Health Management since 2013. She is responsible for the pathological investigations of pigs, which are part of the service offered by the institute. Teaching of veterinary students, the investigation of pig herd health and management in the field as well as the analysis and interpretation of laboratory results are part of her daily work. Her current research is mainly focused on the prevention of tail biting.
