Conduction

Temperature can be transferred by conduction, convection or radiation.

In case of conduction, heat is transferred by the contact between objects that are at different temperatures. For instance, the floor and walls are usually at a lower temperature than pigs, so, when they lie down on the floor, they usually lose temperature.
