He holds a degree (1985) and a PhD (1988) in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Córdoba, and completed his training at different centres such as the Institüt für Pathologie de la Tierärztliche Hoschule in Hannover (Germany), the Institute for Animal Health (United Kingdom), and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University (USA). He is certified by the European College of Veterinary Pathology (1996) and the European College of Porcine Health Management (2009). He is currently Professor of the Department of Comparative Anatomy and Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Córdoba, where he teaches.
